Hey Dweller,
Spring is here—a season of renewal, fresh beginnings, and restoration. Just as the earth awakens with new life, this is the perfect time to refresh not only our homes but also our hearts.
In 1 Corinthians 14:33, we are reminded that “God is not a God of disorder but of peace.” When our surroundings are cluttered and chaotic, it can be hard to find that peace. But decluttering isn’t just about tidying up—it’s about creating space for what truly matters: God’s presence, purpose, and peace.
Decluttering with Intention: 3 Ways to Refresh Your Home & Spirit
1️⃣ Let Go with Grace
Not everything that fills our homes serves our hearts. Some things may have been meaningful in a past season but no longer align with where God is leading us. Let this be a time to release items that no longer bring joy, function, or purpose.
🕊️ Faith Step: Pray as you declutter—ask God to help you discern what to keep, what to bless others with, and what to release.
📖 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1
➡ Faith Connection: Just as God calls us to let go of burdens that no longer serve us (Matthew 11:28), we can extend that principle to our homes—releasing what holds us back from a life of peace and simplicity.
2️⃣ Simplify Your Decor
What we surround ourselves with shapes our atmosphere. A home filled with intentional, meaningful pieces fosters peace, clarity, and inspiration. Instead of overfilling your space, focus on decor that reflects beauty, faith, and joy.
✨ Swap cluttered shelves for a few statement pieces that bring you joy.
✨ Incorporate scripture art or handmade items that hold meaning.
✨ Choose soft, natural tones to create a serene environment.
🕊️ Faith Step: Ask yourself, Does this item bring peace into my home? Does it reflect my faith and values? Keep what aligns with the home you are called to create.
📖 “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” – Colossians 3:2
➡ Faith Connection: The Bible encourages us to focus on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). Our home decor can be a reflection of that—filling our surroundings with things that remind us of His goodness.
3️⃣ Create a Restful Atmosphere
A clutter-free home fosters a peaceful mind. When our space feels restful, it’s easier to spend time with God, reflect, and find renewal. Think of your home as a sanctuary where you can dwell in His presence.
🌿 Add soft lighting—candles, lamps, or string lights can create a cozy, peaceful glow.
🌿 Introduce soothing colors—earthy neutrals, soft blues, or warm greens can enhance a sense of calm.
🌿 Make space for rest—whether it’s a reading nook, a prayer corner, or a decluttered bedroom, give yourself a place to be still.
🕊️ Faith Step: Create a small space dedicated to prayer, reading scripture, or simply resting in God’s presence.
📖 “Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10
➡ Faith Connection: Jesus often withdrew to quiet places to pray (Luke 5:16). By creating areas of stillness in our homes, we can follow His example and make room for moments of deep connection with God.
Renewing Your Home & Heart
Decluttering is about more than just organizing—it’s about making room for what truly matters. As you refresh your space this season, may you also experience a renewed spirit, a clear mind, and a home filled with peace.
Let’s embrace this season of renewal together! What’s one thing you’re letting go of this spring? Reply and share—I’d love to hear!
With Love
